Most excellent writer and one of many excellent writings. Ida Tarbell is STILL brilliant. She would be, justifiably, horrified at our country's state of affairs.
Ida M. Tarbell was an American teacher, author and journalist. She was one of the leading muckrakers at the turn of the century. Her investigating reporting led to the breakup of the Standard Oil Company in 1904. Beside The Business of Being a Woman which is an interesting lesson of women's lives in the 18th and 19th century, she also wrote a biography of Abraham Lincoln.
Ida Tarbell is an unsung hero for bringing down Standard Oil in 1904
Book was in new condition. I'm using this in my US History class. So far so good.
